You may have noticed that I have been a bit quiet during the past couple of months. As you suspected, I have been busy helping my clients to buy and sell real estate, and I have also been working to develop my new brand!

Those of you who have gone developed (or redeveloped) a brand know that it's a process. In June, I met with Neda Kazemi, a dear friend and owner of Plum Branding. Although Neda typically works with Fortune 500 companies, including Target, CVS, and TJMaxx, she kindly agreed to help with my relatively small-time rebranding project.

Over the course of June and July, we played with textures, words, fonts, colors, imagery and my vision to create a new look for my business. We agree that we feel pleased about the place where we landed.

I have chosen a denim texture as the backdrop for my business card, and Neda and her assistant, Angelina, created a watercolor outline of the McDowell Mountains in North Scottsdale as an alternative depending on the marketing piece. For those of you who didn't know me in preschool, I was and am a girl who loved Neil Diamond's song, forever in blue jeans, and I think the casual nature of blue jeans fits the relaxed atmosphere in Arizona. Many of you know of my love for the McDowell Sonoran Preserve, but you may not know I was one of the founding board members of Protect Our Preserve. The McDowell Mountains really are central to my love of Scottsdale!
